
FAA Proposes $65,000 Penalty Against Maine Instrument Flight

WASHINGTON - The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) proposes a $65,000 civil penalty against Maine Instrument Flight of Augusta, Maine, for allegedly violating the drug and alcohol testing regulations.
The company used four pilots on a total of 10 revenue flights but failed to ensure they were subject to drug and alcohol testing, the FAA alleges. The flights occurred between February and September 2023.
Maine Instrument Flight is scheduled to meet with the FAA to discuss the case.
